Non Domestic EPC
Why do you need a non-domestic EPC?
According to Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (Directive 2002 / 91 / EC – the EPBD) which became law in January 2009, buildings which are either to be sold, rented or constructed are legally required to have an EPC.
It gives the prospective buyer or tenant information on the energy efficiency of the building.
You will also get an accompanied recommendation report which provides recommendations on how the energy performance of the building can be improved.
What is a non-domestic EPC?
A non-domestic EPC is an energy report that determines a properties energy rating for a building. Services such as lighting, heating and ventilation are taken into consideration as well as the way in which these services are controlled.
Like a domestic EPC, the rating starts at A (more energy efficient) and ends with G (less energy efficient).
